I can’t believe International Beading Week is here already! Seems like only yesterday (and not a year ago) that I was on Zoom calls with other beaders around the world sharing our love of beading! Each year, the Beadworkers Guild encourages beaders to work on a yearlong project using colors of the rainbow. For my project, I began working on another star in my “Stella” series. My initial thought was that 12 colors would be just right to finish my piece. However, as I progressed, I found I needed a few more colors, and ended up with 16 rainbow colors. The result is the fantastic Stella Prisma!

Right now, I’m working on finishing the videos and written instructions for the Stella Prisma course in my Teachable school… It will also be included as a Related Class in both Stella Nova and Stella Goes Baroque (see my previous post for more info on Related Classes). So, if you are already enrolled in those classes look for the discount in the Course Curriculum.

And speaking of Teachable, can I say how much I love this platform? I feel like I’m teaching a class, providing demos via video, and answering questions or comments from my students. Plus, I think it’s better than a physical class because you can refer back to the demos at any time once you’re enrolled. It’s a little more work for me to provide all the videos, but in the end it’s worth it when I see the beautiful pieces that are made by my students!

In addition to Stella Prisma, I have two other courses in the works… “True North” Earrings and “Flora” Earrings/Pendant. I was hoping to release “Flora” sooner, but it looks like it will be mid-August. As soon as I have more information to share, I’ll pass it along to all of you.
