Heart Pagoda was originally designed for the Fall 2018 Heart of Texas Bead Retreat. I taught it locally until the COVID pandemic hit last year… Ironically, my last physical class was to be held at the end of March 2020. So, it was a perfect project to convert to an online course. As usual, there are lots of videos to enhance the updated written instructions, so I hope you’ll take a look!

While creating the videos for the online course, I started playing with the shape, and Pagoda Beads were born. I had to add them as a Bonus in the course!

I’m offering former students the ability to get the online course and Bonus at a reduced price. Emails were sent today, so look in your Inboxes. If you don’t see them in a few days, check your Junk mail folders. But, please let me know if you don’t receive the email.

What’s next?

Classes are resuming at Sea of Beads, and I’ll be offering some of my existing classes for the time being. The recurring Peyote – Even Count and Peyote – Odd Count classes are back. They will be taught on Friday afternoons from 3:00-6:00 PM. These are great classes for beginners OR if you want a refresher (especially the Odd Count). There are projects for both classes, but the main focus is to teach the basics of bead weaving with peyote stitch. I think that thread management, and the ability to read a pattern are very important if you want to be a successful beader! My goal is to get students excited to try other projects and learn new skills.

I also have a few other classes on the schedule for July, take a look at the Calendar for additional information. Hopefully, I’ll have some new classes in the next few months.

Heart of Texas Bead Retreat…

I will be teaching a Bonus Workshop for the Fall 2021 retreat to be held in Georgetown, TX. I had originally planned to teach Stella Goes Baroque at the Summer 2020 retreat, but it became a Zoom retreat. Unfortunately, I don’t have a stable internet connection, and didn’t participate. But, it looks like the Fall retreat will be an “in person” event.
