Last Minute Gift…

It’s Christmas Eve, and I’ve finally finished my last minute gift to you! I have a new Online Course for the “Circle for a Landing” pendant.

I created this pendant at the beginning of 2020, and was debating about how I was going to teach it… It’s a complex piece because of the layering that’s done, so I knew students wouldn’t finish enough in class. I was leaning towards a 2-part class with homework in between sessions.

Then COVID hit and all my physical classes went away! I considered holding some Zoom classes, but found that my internet is not always stable.

So, the next step was to find a way to offer online courses… This was a steep learning curve for me, but luckily I had taken a few online courses through Teachable with Katie Dean and Jean Power. I liked how the curriculum was laid out in the app, and that students could work at their own pace.

In hindsight, I probably should have picked one of my existing classes, but instead I chose a new design. Oh my! I think I went a bit overboard with the videos 🙂 It was shocking to see how large the files were! I was using my iPhone (which is still my favorite way to video) and it took forever to download into and out of the cloud. But, I made it through with lots of lessons learned.

The result is 30+ pages of written instructions, and videos that cover ALL the steps needed to complete this piece. The finished size is about 3″ wide x 3.5″ high (including the bail). It’s a lovely pendant to wear!

UPDATE! Finished size is 2.25″ wide x 2.75″ high (including the bail).. sorry for the confusion!

For more information, visit my Teachable Site for this course. You can see the Course Curriculum and preview a few videos and the materials list. My gift to you is that the first 25 people who purchase the course receive $5.00 off the price by applying the code XMAS2020 at checkout.

I hope you and your loved ones have a safe and happy holiday season!
My wish for 2021 is some relief from the pandemic and the ability to give hugs again!

I am excited about doing this pattern. Thank you. It will be a day or two before I start but something to look forward to doing.
