Okay, so I’m not the best at keeping up a blog… it’s been a little while since I wrote… but I saw a comment a few days ago – “I’m a beader, not a blogger” – that’s me! (I should have written down the author’s name to give her credit!)
I wish I could talk myself into writing something every day, or week, or month, but I’m easily distracted by beading something new or working on my handouts for classes.
Speaking of classes… we had a really fun class over the weekend – “On The Edge” bracelet. Easy little summery bracelet using diagonal peyote stitch. So many possibilities… I have to admit, I love the wrapped one!
Take a look at the Student Gallery to see some of the bracelets finished in class (I told you it was easy!)
Join us for Summer Fridays…
During July and August, Sea of Beads is offering Friday afternoon classes. I have several on the roster, along with some favorites by the other teachers there. Classes begin at 3:00 or 4:00 PM depending on the length of the class. Click on over to the their class schedule, and see what’s up!
We’ve had a good response so far and many of the classes have limited seating, so if you’re looking for something to get your weekend started, give them a call and sign up!
Preparing for Christmas…
I know a lot of you are already thinking about Christmas gifts because you want to make your items. Two of my all-time favorites are the Stars and The Phoenix – Deco for the Holidays. And, a new favorite is the Christmas colorway for the Heart Pagoda.
In July, Essential Stars and The Phoenix are already on the class schedule. Then in late August, there will be a Patterns with the Stars class (you must have taken the Essential Stars to take this one) and a Heart Pagoda. I will be offering them all throughout the Fall.
I’ve also added a Stella Nova class in September. Since this is a full day class, it can only be offered on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Because of the Heart of Texas Bead Retreat, it will NOT be offered again until November. So, if you want to get a head start, you might want to sign up for September!
My classes are always shown on my Calendar link here, or on my FB page, or on the Sea of Beads site. You must sign up for them through Sea of Beads, but I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Hope to see you soon!
