Busy Beading…

I was shocked when I saw my last post was in January!  How did it get to be April?  So, I guess I need to share what I’ve been up to for the past few months.  🙂

I’ve revamped my Peyote, Odd & Even class, and created two separate classes with their own projects.  I found that my beginning students were hungry for a project rather than simply learning a new technique.  Peyote 101 is devoted to Even Count peyote, and students create a bracelet.  Peyote 102 is Odd Count, and the project is a pendant with a tube bail.  I love seeing the colors chosen, and there are already some photos in the Student Gallery!  Very happy with this change.

A lot of my projects have been in Delicas over the years, but I found a new appreciation for working with seed beads again when I  created three new classes:  Mixed-Up Tubular, Fandango Earrings, and Super Fandango.  The “Fandango” classes are part of my Dagger series that began with 15 Daggers a few years ago.  And Mixed-Up Tubular is a fabulous, supple rope combining herringbone, chenille, and peyote stitches.  Looking forward to teaching them in April!

Two of my “retired” class tutorials are now available in the Shop:  15 Daggers and Fleur de Mer.   I’ve had a lot of students in these classes over the years, so I hope the tutorials are well received.  They are fun to make!

And, last but not least, I finished the design for the Add-On Class at the Fall 2018 Heart of Texas Bead Retreat in Austin!  More to come on that once the links are made public…

So, dear beading friends, hope to see you in a class if you’re in the Austin area (the Calendar is up to date).  And, if you aren’t, I hope you’ll visit the Etsy shop and take a look at the offerings.

Happy Beading!
