Peyote stitch is the basis for so many beading projects, and I feel it’s a must-know stitch for anyone tackling beadweaving. The focus is Even Count peyote stitch, and I think of it as a “techniques” class for beginning beaders, or those who want a refresher.
Students begin a bracelet project, while learning to read a graph/word chart. We also work on thread management, maintaining even tension, and adding/ending threads. Before class ends, we cover how to add a clasp and size the bracelet. Several patterns will be available to create this piece… the photo above shows one possibility.
This is an ongoing recurrent class, offered the first Wednesday of each month.
